Zack Anawalt

President & CEO

As founder of Anawalt Development Company and Land Services, Zack has more than 25 years of experience in land development, utility scale energy projects, data centers, real estate, architecture, planning, and project management.

Prior to founding Anawalt Development, Zack held leadership positions at PG&E where he acquired over 150,000 acres for Wind, Solar, CAES, Remediation and Transmission projects; Comcast Corporation where he acquired land rights to install a new fiber network to support commercial property owners, riser companies, data centers throughout San Francisco and silicon valley; GCL New Energy where he managed land acquisitions, interconnection and permitting efforts for a 100MW Energy Storage portfolio; Zack also owned and operated a successful design build practice from 1998-2008, is a board member and investor with www.lektra.com, an edge compute company that’s operating a distributed cloud powered by renewables, and has successfully acquired land rights to support over 7GW of energy project throughout the US.

Being raised in Northern California sparked a passion for technology, the environment, sustainable design, renewable energy, and the necessity to find a fulcrum point between the built environment and nature. Zack holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, from Arizona State University, a California Real Estate License, and is a Sr. Right of Way agent with International Right of Way.
